Terms of Service
Last updated: April 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of MedVault Health ("MedVault," "we," "us," "our"), including the mobile application, doctor portal, and website. By creating an account or using any part of MedVault, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Service Description
MedVault is a platform that helps patients store, organize, and share their medical lab reports. We use OCR and AI to extract test values from uploaded reports and provide plain-language explanations of what those values mean.
MedVault is not a medical provider. We are not a clinic, hospital, laboratory, or diagnostic service. We do not order tests, prescribe treatment, or provide medical consultations. MedVault is a health record management tool — nothing more, nothing less.
2. Medical Disclaimer
This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.
- AI-generated explanations of your test values are for educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- Abnormal value flags are based on standard reference ranges and may not account for your specific medical context, medications, or conditions.
- Health summaries, trend charts, and AI chat responses are informational tools — they are not a substitute for professional medical judgment.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decisions based on your lab results.
- MedVault does not verify the accuracy of the lab reports you upload. If a report contains errors from the lab, our parsed data will reflect those errors.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older to create a MedVault account.
- A parent or guardian may create an account and manage health records for minors through the family plan.
- Account creation requires phone number verification via OTP.
- One account per phone number.
- You must provide accurate personal information (name, date of birth, gender) during registration.
4. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device access secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- If you add family members to your account, you confirm that you have their consent (or legal authority for minors) to store and manage their health records.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Do not share your OTP codes with anyone.

6. Data Ownership
- You own your health data at all times. MedVault stores and processes it only to provide the service.
- You can delete individual reports or your entire account at any time.
- Upon account deletion, all your data (reports, parsed results, family profiles, share links) is permanently removed within 30 days.
- PDF export of your health data is available for Premium users.
- For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Sharing and Access
- You control who sees your data by creating share links with custom expiry dates.
- You can revoke any share link at any time — access stops immediately.
- Every view of shared data is logged in your audit trail, so you always know who accessed your records and when.
- Recipients view your data through a web portal. They do not need a MedVault account.
- You are responsible for who you share your links with. Treat share links like passwords.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload malicious files, malware, or content that is not a medical report.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from MedVault.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access MedVault's source code.
- Use the service to harass, impersonate, or harm others.
- Upload reports belonging to other people without their consent.
- Circumvent free tier limits, payment systems, or premium access controls.
- Use MedVault for any purpose that violates applicable Pakistani or international law.
9. Intellectual Property
- MedVault's brand name, logo, user interface, visual design, and marketing materials are our property and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- Our AI models, parsing templates, and algorithms are proprietary.
- Your uploaded content (lab reports, health records) remains your property.
- By uploading content, you grant MedVault a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.
10. Limitation of Liability
- MedVault is not a healthcare provider and accepts no liability for medical decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
- We are not liable for errors in OCR extraction, AI parsing, or reference range classification. Parsed data should always be verified against the original report.
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties of medical accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Our maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the total fees you have paid to MedVault in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for outages or failures of third-party services we depend on (Google Cloud Vision, Anthropic, Firebase, Cloudflare, Safepay).
11. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
- MedVault may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
- Upon termination: all active share links are immediately deactivated, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days, and audit logs are retained for 12 months per our security policy.
- Unused premium subscription time is non-refundable if the account is terminated for a terms violation.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via push notification and display a notice in the app. Continued use of MedVault after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you disagree with updated terms, you may delete your account at any time.
13. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
- Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of MedVault shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lahore, Pakistan.
- If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
